How often was she hearing that these days? It was infuriating. What were her eyes getting up to since she came toFrance ? Had
they become promiscuous without informing her? If I wanted to give
someone ‘the eye’ it would never have been him, she thought after their date,
as she remembered his floppy, lifeless, caramel-colored hair and matching
caramel-colored framed glasses.
